Entry Forms are now available for the:

Between the Sheets, the 2012 Artists' Book Exhibition to be held at Gallery East, North Fremantle, WA, Australia and the Midland Junction Arts Centre, Midland, WA, Australia, is open to any artist working in the field of artist books.

Completed Entry Forms must be received by 5.00pm, 15 November 2011.

Entries to have been completed within the last 2 years.

Images must be of a high resolution (JPEG) and on a CD.

Images to be reproduced in a full colour catalogue accompanying the exhibition.

Artist floor talks and workshops are also being planned to coincide with the exhibition.

Exhibition is due to open on 13 January 2012.

We are sorry that the show is not travelling this year, as it is a very beautiful exhibition and worthy of having greater exposure - especially to regional centres. The artists are to be congratulated for creating such excellent and diverse range of work(s). It is great that our newspapers (including local) are covering the show and the public who normally whiz through exhibitions are taking time, looking at every artist book. They are facinated by the concept and it is the first time a show of this kind has appeared in Perth since the Das Buch exhibition. It looks as if all is going well for the next show in 2014. Because of the public interest, we are expecting the next show to be even larger. It seems to be working well having the show in 2 separate venues (some 25 kilometers between venues). As the the set up of the books for both is very different. We will be advertising the next Between the Sheets exhibition for 2014 straight after the this one closes. There is every chance that the next one will travel. Because of the public interest, we are also in discussion with the City of Swan to come on board and to become an important collection for Artist's Books in WA, and so we are hoping to make the exhibition into a Purchase Award. I was also hoping to make my way to Melbourne for the MAF, but alas because of the economic climate, we have decided not to particpate this year. But hope to catch up with you after this.
