Judy - you can probably google these for more info:

State Library of Victoria and Hand Held Gallery in the city.

Australian Print Workshop, Port Jackson Press and Artisan Books in Fitzroy (all on or near Gertrude Street)

Also artist book exhibition at Geelong Art Gallery (check AB 0.3 events for dates).

Make contact with Carolyn Frazer and Nicholas Jones and try to see their studios.
Robert thanks, i had most of those on my list and found the Geelong show in imprint today, but i don't know Carolyn and Nicholas whose studios you suggested i visit. it'd be good to visit a studio also. thanks for that
They are both members of this site so you could probably just look them up here. Carolyn is a letterpress artist and Nick is an altered book sculptor and both have studios in the CBD.
Hi Judy,
Your trip to Melbourne is way past hope it was fabulous.
Lots happening up this way- did you register for the postcard exhibition in Bristol- I thought of your in flight studios and the lovely connections between it and the concept of the Bristol exhibition.
Cheers Ruth

Available to everyone: Robert Jacks & Printed Matter

10 September - 24 October 2016

Printed Matter is pleased to announce Available to Everyone: Robert Jacks and Printed Matter, curated by Peter Anderson.

The exhibition presents two connected bodies of material: a survey of artists’ books by Australian painter, sculptor and bookmaker Robert Jacks (1942-2014), and an extensive selection of publications drawn from Jacks’ own collection, many of which were purchased from Printed Matter in the early years of the organization.

If you are interested in advertising your event, publication  or project here - contact Robert regarding rates.
