Artist Books 3.0

Where artists' books and the book arts meet online...

3.0 # 16 (Letters and Alphabets)

It’s hard to believe but we started these collaborations in 2010, but they have since gone from strength to strength.  This title was supplied by Martine Rastello (France) and again we will try two formats - accordion and pamphlet stitch.  We will limit the groups to 10 participants each.  Deadline - End of December 2015.  Please note that people who have joined before but NOT returned books will not be included until their books are received.  Please also note that hand done elements must outweigh photocopied components.

Group A - Accordion Book - (63 cm minimum in length), closed - A6 (postcard) in size,  hard/strong cover.

Hi Cheryl - I’m in for group A.

Hi Cheryl, I'm in too, for Group A.

Hi Cheryl, I would love to be in group B, is there a fixed number of pages? xx Svenja

Ugh, 28 pages, just read the manual sorry!

HI Cheryl,

Can I join group A please. Just checking: I will need to produce as many copies as there are people in the group? So about 10?

Hi Cheryl

Group A for me please

Both groups if possible

Hey Cheryl  - I'd like to be included this time in Group A please.

Hi Cheryl - I'm in for group A

So we’re back in business ! It’s always exciting to start a new adventure !

You’re right, Cheryl, 2010 - 2015 ... incredible ! I’ve been here only since 2012 but thanks to all the nice people I’ve ’’met’’  and who share their work.

Impact 9 printmaking conference will be in China this year. Is anyone going ? 5 of us met at the last one in Dundee in 2013 but China is a bit far for most of us I’m afraid !

Cheryl, love your Exist 1 vispo...:-)

Available to everyone: Robert Jacks & Printed Matter

10 September - 24 October 2016

Printed Matter is pleased to announce Available to Everyone: Robert Jacks and Printed Matter, curated by Peter Anderson.

The exhibition presents two connected bodies of material: a survey of artists’ books by Australian painter, sculptor and bookmaker Robert Jacks (1942-2014), and an extensive selection of publications drawn from Jacks’ own collection, many of which were purchased from Printed Matter in the early years of the organization.
