Artist Books 3.0

Where artists' books and the book arts meet online...

I have a black and white laser printer and have been thinking of getting a colour laser printer so that I can expand my choices when producing books.

I'd be interested to know what colour laser printers people are using, whether they bought this new or second hand/recon, whether they are using a duplex unit, and any comments about toner costs, maintenance etc.

For info the black and white printer I currently have is an HP LaserJet 4050, but I don't have the benefit of a duplex unit on this, and keep meaning to get one.

Thanks
Tracy

I'm using an Epson R2400. Prints on practically anything flat, good registration, reliable. Has a number of different feed paths so it doesn't curl the paper around a bunch of rollers. This has recently been replaced by a new model not essentially different in order to introduce a new ink cartridge and keep ahead of the generics (which are decidedly inferior). Ink is ruinously expensive.
