Mayfield Artists Book Project

Mayfield is based on the idea of "any boy born without pretension, at the turn of the century, in the Texas hill country." The project is made up of a child's toy highchair, handmade rag doll/head made by C. Cullis, photograph of the actual Mayfield on tin, handmade book pages made from the actual Mayfield's handmade baby clothes, handmade book copied from Maddie Livingston's memoir, whose family settled in the Texas hill country at the turn of the century, and the thrid book is based on the stories of Katherine Anne Porter, the Old Order, which were stories of children who grew up in the Texas hill country, turn of the century.
