Background: I am an artist and printmaker with a particular interest in artists' books. I completed a PhD at Sydney College of the Arts in 2006, which sought to examine the role of memory in the viewing of art. The thesis, 'Memory, Perception & the Art of Seeing Double,' examined in part the artist's book as a provocation to memory; the accompanying exhibition, 'the return room,' consisted of an installation of artists’ books in a specially constructed room reminiscent of both a domestic and a gallery space.

I have taught both printmaking and artists' books at Sydney College of the Arts, and at the National Art School, where I was Visiting Artist in 2007. Also in 2007, I acted as consultant and facilitator at Noosa Regional Gallery's artist's book symposium and exhibition BOOKS.07 Works of Imagination: The Search for the Impossible.

and thanks also for kind comments on my work posted in here - It's always a nervy business throwing my work out there... 'herstory's' text is an old english history textbook (I should mention this with the pic shouldn't I!)
