- Artist for over 30 years, the book is my primary inspiration for my work. From structure, which I prefer the traditional forms, to the images which unfold a visual narrative, I try to open doorways of perception to the energetic matrix of the world. As a toltec warrior, my concerns are with the path of freedom in a world obsessed with possession. I enjoy a return to nature and the geometric and mathematical ideas that we use to describe our world.

What is it about the Book?

Recently with a group of students I discussed; what is it that makes the book so enduring and enticing as a medium of expression? It took a while for them to understand the question. For the college age student is more involved with their computer than probably any other medium, even art students. I kept at it though... what is this thing, this object that has so changed the entire direction of humanity?
Finally it started to come. The book as an object, a technology, a work…
