Background
I make sculptural books from clothing and other found objects. Girdles, bustiers, brassieres, gloves, aprons, children’s' clothes-are my means of containment. Inside these stiffened, shaped, embellished enclosures, I conceal books and other objects that document my exploration of feminine, social, and spiritual issues.

Hi Miriam. I guess I am slow- did not look at this page for awhile. I saw you book, and wnt to the opening. It is a very nice show! Lots of old friends in thebooks, and also saw lots of locals I had not seen for awhile. I was talking to an artist up here, and she thought it was not a very good shwo since the books werent very well made, or something like that. I thought she was nuts!... Laura

HI Miriam,
How is life in artist-book world? I am still doing books, and other work, but I have taken time out to do a PhD! Madness. I hope you are well and your books are multiplying. Love from Dianne in Adelaide.

Hi Miriam, glad to see you here: I remember your books, particularly the glove piece from Tale of Two Cities.

Oy, I haven't even gotten all my stuff up on Facebook and Flickr! But this place does feel more cozy, always liked the warm feeling of the book world. Glad you're going Friday, the cold has gotten me hibernating again the last couple of days, looking forward to re-surfacing tomorrow! I can be there whenever you want, just let me know.

Hiya Miriam. Thanks for the warm thoughts -- we're back in the single digits again (brrrrr . . .). Looking forward to seeing you in Philadelphia in June. (Looking forward to June, too) -<{S}>-.
