Sue Hewitt commented on Sarah Bodman's event 'Book Art Object Edition 4 Part I'
"I have just found this and will be going on Friday 12th as it looks as if the library is closed on 13th/14th. Is anyone else from the community going or have you been and got any comments - sounds like a brilliant collaboration!"

Book Art Object Edition 4 Part I at Bower Ashton Library, Bristol

March 4, 2013 at 9am to April 14, 2013 at 5pm
It is a great pleasure to introduce Part I of this exhibition at UWE; Part II will be following later in June 2013. Little did I know in 2010 when I made the artist’s book An Exercise for Kurt Johannessen that three years later I would be the very delighted and honoured recipient of 100 artists’ books based on that book!Kurt Johannessen is a Norwegian artist whose books are based on elements of his performances. My absolute favourite is his little pocket book…See More

An Inventory of Al-Mutanabbi Street - 15 artists needed!

On March 5th 2007, a car bomb was exploded on al-Mutanabbi Street in Baghdad. Al-Mutanabbi Street is in a mixed Shia-Sunni area. More than 30 people were killed and more than 100 were wounded. Al-Mutanabbi Street, the historic centre of Baghdad bookselling, and heart and soul of the Baghdad literary and intellectual community, holds bookstores and outdoor bookstalls, cafes, stationery…

Objects needed for book project

Posted on November 6, 2012 at 9:03 0 Comments

Will Mower is looking for people to talk about a single object that has some personal significance to them for a publication all about objects and the relationships people form with 'things'. Any object of any kind or size is great, you just need to be able to talk (or email him) about why it holds personal importance to you and a bit about where it came from etc. along with a photo of the object shot in any way you like.…

Hi Sarah, this site is just what I've been looking for.  Really enjoyed the BABE event at the Arnolfini recently - very inspiring - already looking forward to the next one.

Regards, Ian.

Hi Sarah,
I just received your note yesterday about the newsletter - sad, but I think that it has been very generous of them to fund what must be huge mailing costs up until now. (Not to mention printing costs). At least we can still see it online.

Vamp and Tramp is representing me now, so I can spend more time in the studio rather than trying to hawk my wares.

I see you're just as busy as ever and keeping us all connected. Thanks!

Hi Sarah

So nice to meet you at Doverodde Bookart Festival. Usually all bookevents take place so far, far away from me - so going by car for a bit more than a couple of hours that´s nothing!

Your lecture was great - despite of rather disturbing environment. I´m very happy this paper of links etc. was handed out.

Hope to see you again one day out there in the bookart world somewhere.

Cheers
Hanne
