Background
I am a student at Winthrop University in South Carolina. I began book arts by making paper. It makes sense that it would start with paper. From there I started to collage which led to altered books. Then finally I spent a year in Asheville and took two book making classes taught by Gwen Diehn. Then two years ago I took an intensive book making class at Winthrop. Since then I have been making as a hobby and artistic outlet. It is a love that runs deep in my body. The smell of parchment to me is the most calming scent in the world. In addition to making books I look to collect hand made artists' books as well.
