Background
Theresa Easton uses printmaking techniques in a variety of media including glass, paper, brick clay and metal. Based in the North East of England (Newcastle-upon-Tyne), at 36 Lime street, Theresa regularly delivers workshops in print and binding, as well as print an glass. She is interested in pushing the boundaries of printmaking, creating unique printed glass, paper and artist’s books. Easton’s practice centres on museum, heritage and social history interpretation. For a number of years, Easton has worked closely with Newcastle’s Literary & Philosophical Society, initiating projects connected with identity, artist’s books as well as completing a year long residency in the library.

Mail Art Project with young people and an international art exchange. Call for participation

Next year see's the anniversary of WW1 and with a personal interest in Social History and experience of working collaboratively  I want to work with artists in different countries to the UK who have:

  • An interest in participatory arts, particularly with young people.
  • An interest in working Internationally on a long term project that would involve mailing artwork back and forwards.
  • The ability to act as the project co-ordinator in your area.

Thanks for your comments Theresa.  Much appreciated.  I love your glass book - it's so elegant.  I'm not sure I'll get to trying out glass but perhaps I could experiment with bending perspex - hm - now there's a thought.  Thanks.

Printed Matter is pleased to announce Available to Everyone: Robert Jacks and Printed Matter, curated by Peter Anderson.

The exhibition presents two connected bodies of material: a survey of artists’ books by Australian painter, sculptor and bookmaker Robert Jacks (1942-2014), and an extensive selection of publications drawn from Jacks’ own collection, many of which were purchased from Printed Matter in the early years of the organization.
