Somehow Abigail Uhteg managed not only to edition a book and take some of the sweetest photos ever during her residency here at Women's Studio Workshop, but she also managed to put together over 3000 images to make a fabulous stop-motion video of the process as well. Women's Studio Workshop is a visual arts organization with specialized studios in printmaking, hand papermaking, ceramics, letterpress printing, photography, and book arts. Artists are invited to work at WSW as a part of our Fellowship Program, Artists' Books Grants, Residencies, Internships, or to learn new skills in our Summer Arts Institute and community workshop series.

Our mission is to operate and maintain an artists' workspace that encourages the voice and vision of individual women artists, to provide professional opportunities for artists, and to promote programs designed to stimulate public involvement, awareness, and support for the visual arts.

Upcoming November 15, 2009 Deadline for Artist Book Residency at Women's Studio Workshop:



These residency grants are designed to enable artists to produce a limited edition book work at WSW. Working intensively in our studios for six to eight weeks, artists print and bind their own books.
