"I like the combination of accordion folds with rolled and wrapped portions of maps.  Housing these parts in a box makes it seems more mysterious and perhaps from another time. Cynthia Colbert"

Connecting Small Artist Books 2012 Final Venue for this travelling book arts project

These books will be on show at the Milk Factory Gallery in Station Street Bowral from the 12-27th January 2013.There are some wonderful examples of small artist books in just about every medium both from artists here in Australia and in the UK.The books have been in venues at Bristol,Cardiff,Herefordshire and Manly Library NSW.It has been a great experience as a book artist setting up this project. I will also  have a 2 day workshop during this period at the gallery on the 19 and 20th…

The books are presently on display at University of Western England Bristol until 31 August. They then go onto the

Sidney Nolan Trust Herefordshire  7 - 16 September and then Cardiff School of Art & Design 19 September - 22

October.A further update when the books arrive for their Sydney venues.

My Book Arts Project is under way with the invited artists books being exhibited this year in the U.K at University of Western England,Sidney Nolan Trust,Cardiff School of Arts and in Australia Manly Library in Sydney and Milk Factory Gallery Bowral .these venues so far have been confirmed.Everyone is now busy making their books and I will post further details throughout the year.
