I have stickers with my contact details that are added to all packaging
i included details on how the work should be displayed with a photo and drawings for the setting up person/s

- I was introduced to artists books at a weekend workshop at Wollongong TAFE by Robert Jacks in 1979, but I don't know if we called them that then. A few years later on I met Liz Jeneid who made books while at the University of Wollongong. I didn't make any books that I recognised as artist books till about 1995 in Alice Springs at a Textile Fibre forum workshop with Adele Outteridge, where I made a few books that I like.
I like to make installations, many of them now could be/are books.
My background is in sculpture, printmaking, textiles and artists' books. I have given workshops in printmaking; monotype and photopolymer plates.

recycling shopping rubbish
I've been collecting a lot of the packaging that I get in my shopping. today i finished a small work using the plastic tags left when the plastic bags are removed and cut up bar codes and bits of packaging

Single folded sheet constructions
I had a great day today folding papers and making artists books with Ed Hutchins. Linda Douglas organised a wonderful workshop and series of workshops in Australia and New Zealand.
There were 18 in the class at the NSW Writers centre in Rozelle. I came home with a folder of folded examples of books and ideas. Some I had done before but some I did for the first time.

OK all you publishers or owners of book shops. How about promoting and selling artists books in your shops. How good would that be?

- Hi Judy - really sorry but the post has been sent! I was pretty overwhelmed by the amount of participants. I had to cut it off at 240 before screen-printing the postcards turned into a lifetime of work. If I ever do anything similar again in future I'll be sure to let you know.

- Great thanks, I think Christina Cordero is another artist who uses it a bit. but I don't know how to contact her. I'm not sure if you see her often but if you do would you possibly ask her she would mind if I contacted her to ask her about her methods? The more, the merrier! I think her techniques would be very interesting too.

- thanks for having a look at the survey anyway, I'm going to write about some of the things that can be done with chine colle and related techniques, like Glen Skien's stamps. I love the paper positive screens in your photos, the colours are gorgeous and the drawers with sewing memorabilia are too; and i will come back for another look soon.

The class was a busy one and we ( Ed and I ) are settling down to a good night's rest at our B & B at Anonui in annandale! it's gorgeous here! sorry I didn't have time to talk after. but look at you- just home off the bus and writing already! the photo of ed is a good one. I'll alert him to it tomorrow . glad you made it home. love linda x
