Thanks Peter & Robert, my copy of 'jacks' arrived in the post to brisbane today, read the intro and Peter's writing - banged on through all the history (reacquainted myself with pieces I own and old times had). Terrific, guess I'll get to one of the…

My latest collage fills the perspex box that Wim de Vos gave me for the 10 year celebrations for The West End Studios in Brisbane

Every print maker and artist book producer who has an association with the studio founders - Adele Outteridge & Wim de Vos have been given a box as well. The show and cake cutting celebrations are set down for 3:30pm Saturday the 13th September 2008, with "words" by Jeraldene Just. The blurb says from 2:00pm at Factory Two, 2nd Floor 35 Mollison Street West End. Phone +61 7 3844 8469 for further details (and the party is sure to go on until the wee hours)!
Here's a snapshot of the box:… Continue

A few links to (some) of my recent artist book material:

Dear Aine, and Artist Books 3.0 friends

. . . thanks for staying, viewing and multiple comments on the viewerpage blog recently - I'm sort of more private with the artist books I have produced, I guess it comes from having a 39 year design career, a collecting background with loads of curatorial and mentoring experience.
Art directors have a need to continually hype themselves, (to build the next job & build their practice awareness) in my case "word-of-mouth" has worked a treat but when it… Continue

Hello Malcolm - The portrait with Vicky was made at Edith Falls near Katherine Gorge in the Northern Territory - She looks so innocent and I'm the menacing creature of the black lagoon!!
Probably see you @ the Studio West End 10th

Cheers

Hello Malc and Barb, nice to hear from you! All is good thanks, if not rather wet here in rainy Bristol. I hope to join in the site more when I have time, I am a bit useless at this. Keep in touch with your news. love, Sarah

Hi Robert, I've just updated the viewersite blog with some movie uploads, I just re-subscribed for a second term, paying US$ for graphics as part of cascading style sheets and the additional 5Gb storage so I could show and upload movies . . . here's the intro to my talk you commissioned (at last):

Robert, 17 days since the last message. Crikey, you still have that (yellow) tinge and I learn they are avatars, nice.
We had x4 comments from a wordpress.viewersite blog visitor last night.
I promise I'll find more time on here, Hi to Aine Scannell.

Malcolm, the yellow man was me 'simpsonised' but I didn't realise that I had accidentally set it up as the default picture for everyone joining up - by the time I fixed it, it was too late for some people who still haven't bothered replacing their avatar...

So it may be saying more about us 'bureaucrats' rather then you 'artists'?

yes I persisted with the sign-in . . . thanks

I noticed all the arts bureaucrats at the front of the members folder, all with the same yellow man icon - is this saying something to us (artists)?

Hi mal, obviously it finally worked. Good to see you here.
