Kite Book
I've been asked how I get ideas for my books. Some happen quickly. Some take years for the materials and text to come together.
In early 2000, while working at a large commercial art firm, I saw a framed Japanese print from the 1920's. The background colors graduated from soft green to soft lapis blue, with darker blue mountains in the middle. The foreground was a riot of flowers, greenery, children, and kites. These are double sheets, 76 x 112cm, 280gsm Tan. The paper is 100% cotton rag, gelatin sized, four deckled edges. Smooth surface, internal sizing, recommended for all applications of both printmaking and drawing.

My Book Arts Project is under way with the invited artists books being exhibited this year in the U.K at University of Western England,Sidney Nolan Trust,Cardiff School of Arts and in Australia Manly Library in Sydney and Milk Factory Gallery Bowral .these venues so far have been confirmed.Everyone is now busy making their books and I will post further details throughout the year.
