As a book artist I’m an amateur. Meaning I’ve never been through a book arts program, or any visual art degree at all. I did do an MFA in creative writing, but artists books are generally not novels. I had some help with making paper, and took a week-long binding workshop once. In photography (analog and digital) I’m completely self-trained. With only two weeks to go until the work is installed I must admit I am drained, apart form finishing up new work and repairing some of the old artist book I have been busy with invites, catalogues, promotion and advertising.
