Printmaking and Artistbook conference at Melborne

Thank You for the invitation!

That interest me very much but now I have no possibility to travel because I´ll take part of the "Mokuhanga" printmaking course here in Finland at the same month. It´s an traditional japanise way to print.

Also at begining of 2012 I`ll travel to Tanzania to make handmake paper...

It would be very nice to see handmake artistbooks and Artists in Australia

Call for Book Artists

Minnesota Center for Book Arts is actively seeking new Artist's Books for consignment in its retail store.

MCBA has several large events planned for the months ahead including October's Evening of Fine Wine and Fine Books, November's Book Arts Fest, and our December Winter Book Publication Party. Call for Artists -- Dia de los Muertos postcard contest

Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) is sponsoring a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) postcard competition, with all entries to be displayed in its Lobby Gallery from September 16 to November 6, 2011. A $250 “best of show” prize will be awarded. Judging will be by MCBA’s staff.

The "Making of" the Printmaking Master Classes Videos

Juan Carlos Romera is an old friend of ours. He’s also an award-winning documentary filmmaker. When he showed up at our house a few months ago with a new video project, I wasn’t surprised. What was surprising was that he wanted me to be a partner in it.

Anderson Center, Whale and Star

I have just finished a residency at the Anderson Center at Red Wing Minnesota where I made small empty books, broadsheets and glass book forms. Upon my turn to Miami I attended the Whale & Star Summer Workshop with Enrique Martinez Celaya, Dan Siedell, and Gean Moreno. The professional development program addressed successful studio practices.

Printed Matter is pleased to announce Available to Everyone: Robert Jacks and Printed Matter, curated by Peter Anderson.

The exhibition presents two connected bodies of material: a survey of artists’ books by Australian painter, sculptor and bookmaker Robert Jacks (1942-2014), and an extensive selection of publications drawn from Jacks’ own collection, many of which were purchased from Printed Matter in the early years of the organization.
