The World is a Town

The World is a Town is a unique artist's book I made in 2009. It is

based on the Novgorod Codex which dates back to the 11th century. For

further information on this book see my website www.cherylpennartistsbooks.com - it is Book 38.

ANYWAY!! I intend to disseminate this work as Mail Art. Everyone who sends me

Lecture on Mughal Painting

I attended this lecture last night by Oliver Everett, Librarian Emeritus from the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle on Mughal Paintings in the Padshahnama (chronicle of the King of the World). Apparently he is popping up all over Australia giving lectures. I would recommend that you see this lecture if you can.

I will be in UK in early October for rush work visit - is there anything on at present that I really just shouldn't miss out on seeing?

I will be visiting this exhibition in Cambridge and the collections at the Tate and the V&A - but only have a couple of days in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Available to everyone: Robert Jacks & Printed Matter

10 September - 24 October 2016

Printed Matter is pleased to announce Available to Everyone: Robert Jacks and Printed Matter, curated by Peter Anderson.

The exhibition presents two connected bodies of material: a survey of artists’ books by Australian painter, sculptor and bookmaker Robert Jacks (1942-2014), and an extensive selection of publications drawn from Jacks’ own collection, many of which were purchased from Printed Matter in the early years of the organization.
