With the exhibition -
The Artists Books of Robert Jacks - now on show, and the catalogue begining to trickle into distribution, I'm moving to a more focussed phase of research into Robert Jacks' book related work. As part of this research, I'm trying to find copies of
Free Media Bulletin from 1971. Web searching does not turn up much of any use. Although there are a few references - in particular to issue 1, which was edited by Jeff Wall. But I'm looking for nos. 12 / 16 / 17.…

Call for entries has now closed. Thanks to all who signed up. I have 240 participants so the results should be fantastic. First post goes out at the beginning of November.

The format will be a postcard which has another two postcard attached (using a concertina fold and perforation). You will receive this in the post from me.
There is no theme and the idea is simple; you create artwork on one section then post it to the…

In 2007 I was invited to participate in the Geelong Gallery/NETS Victoria touring exhibition
The enchanted forest - new gothic storytellers. As the new work progressed, it not only took on an entirely new direction, but began to assert a life of its own beyond the enchanted forest. More significantly, I became interested in exploring the idea of taking the show’s title more literally and writing a story of my own, suggested by a suite of eight small canvases titled
The Enchanted Hair… Continue

I just had an enquiry about a 2001 artist book from a designer in Sweden, the query came through a blog entry requesting how he could find the detail on the old viewer directory? (that isn't searchable except by scrolling down through 20 years of entries) . . .
Go here, there are two books in one. There are two viewing platforms also, I did a slide preview as a .pdf for each book and a very early flash…

I am a blog virgin so here's hoping this ends up in the right place etc
I went to this Fair and the Conference last w/e and it was fabulous. Quite overwhelming really. So much to see and so many exhibitors of all sorts. Printed Matter did such a great job. And having it in PS1 was inspired. The whole fair in one venue (and what a wonderful venue it is!) . The Conference covered so many bases from artist's contracts to zines and how to library them, to makers and print-on-demand, wow. And a…
