Continue

collaborative log book New Zealand + Scotland

Next year will mark 130 years since the Westland set sail on it's maiden voyage from Scotland to New Zealand. To mark this occasion, I will be working on a collaborative log book with New Zealand artist, Lynn Taylor. We have been e-mailing and posting stuff by snail mail for the past month, discussing ideas. The image is a sample layout of our visual log (the journey will be that of an artist!). The voyage lasted 80 days. Our log will cover the same… Continue

Is anyone going to CBAA conference?

The College Book Arts Association is holding its inaugural conference in January 2009 and I was wondering if anyone from this group is attending? If so would they be able to post something about the conference in their blog section so we could all find out what they think of the event and its proceedings?

'without boundaries' artist talks

It was great to finally get to Sydney last weekend to see 'Without Boundaries'. A bonus to be there last Saturday when some of the artists were talking about their books.

The binding is… Continue

book publishers joining the artist book 3.0

there seems to be a few publishers of books about art and craft and a bookshop owner joining this artists book social network. I wonder if they are trying to get free advertising or is it that they just do not understand what an artists' book is?

Digital artists' books

There have been a couple of discussions about digital artists' books on this site - can anyone recommend any Victorian based digital artist book artists for a possible project? Otherwise some Australian based digital book artists?
