Tom Trusky

His work never stopped, he was so passionate about teaching his students at Boise State University to experiment with artists’ books, promoting the works of the outsider artist James Castle through his… Continue

Hand Held Gallery

My Gallery, Hand Held,

is a small gallery in the centre of Melbourne.

The gallery focuses on the hand held object including the artist book- an innately hand held object that requires the viewer to touch in order to view. Alongside books, zines, posters, artist cards and postcards are other hand helds such as jewellery and metals, miniature sculpture and glass. The space is divided into two areas: an exhibition space to be rented by artists for… Continue

Book Art Object

Way back in July I posted something about putting together an Artists' Book Club together and lo! A few months on, may I present (drum roll and fanfare...) "Book Art Object" which is a group, a blog and a project all rolled into one.

The group is currently working around a text which is a poem by Australian poet Rosemary Dobson, title "Learned Absence". It is a poem about emptiness after loss - presumably the loss of a… Continue
