Here in Melbourne we are looking forwards to the 1st Art book Fair at the National Gallery of Victoria this weekend and it should be an opportunity to catch up with some old friends and make new ones, for information about the fair visit

If you are visiting Melbourne for the Fair then make sure that you drop in and see the exhibition Inspiration by Design: Word and Image from teh Victoria and Albert Museum at the State Library of Victoria and also see the John Wolseley exhibition at the NGV Australia in Federation Square. Here are some articles about those shows:

Just a short drive away from Melbourne is the Clunes Booktown Festival this wekeend which now includes a range of interesting artist book related exhibitions, displays and talks, and is always worth a visit. You can read all about it here

Artspace in Sydney has also announced that it is getting into the artist book fair act with its new Volume 2015 project which is described as 'Australia's first independent art book fair' and is calling for applications from potential exhibitors - you can find out more at

Finally I just wanted to let you know about this little blog entry by Gracia and Louise about their cover art on our most recent issue of the LaTrobe Journal which focussed on artists' books.
